西游记（17）：神圣纯净的理塘 ｜ Journey to the West (17): The sacred and pure Litang
“Give me a pair of white crane wings, I want to fly to a distant place, do not go anywhere else, just look at the beautiful Litang” – Tsangyang Gyatso.
Litang is located in the west of Sichuan Province, southwest of Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture. It belongs to the southeast of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and is known as the “world high city”. The county seat is 4014 meters above sea level. It is recommended that friends with altitude sickness should not challenge to stay in Litang, just have fun! I heard too many altitude sickness in Litang along the way.
We came out of Daocheng and passed through Litang. All the way, the altitude is relatively large, we have a little altitude sickness, mainly in the eardrum pain, mild headache, but the altitude is slightly lower, some discomfort will disappear. So I didn’t dare to stay in Litang that night, just passing by.
The Litang Tibetan language is called “Letong”, which means a bronze-like dam. The grassland is beautiful, but the prairie on the plateau is more pure and sacred.
In the rainy season, there are always several rains every day.
On our way to Litang, we met a backpacker who was on a ride. The young man just resigned, and he plans to take a ride to Lhasa before he gets into the job. I admire this kind of person who travels by the wind alone, and I admire the rider who likes to ride a bicycle like @iguazi123.
